Suspects of robbery allegedly assaulted the smoke shop employee and another man in their attempt at thievery.
Robbery in East Harlem Smoke Shop
ABC7 reports that a store clerk was shot during a robbery in East Harlem. According to the news, the thievery occurred at 11 p.m. on Friday at Essex Convenience Smoke Shop in East Harlem.
The shop’s employee stated that he was shot in the groin while trying to stop the suspects of robbery. However, another man who was a customer of the shop was whipped by the pistol. Both of the victims were taken to the hospital where it was confirmed that their conditions are not life-threatening.
Police are still investigating how much money was taken from the smoke shop.
Suspects of Robbery
As reported by CBS, police officials are already searching for two men who are the suspects of robbery. Police stated that the suspects of robbery have been captured on the smoke shop’s surveillance.
According to the Essex Convenience Smoke Shop’s surveillance footage, the suspects of robbery are wearing dark-colored hoodies, masks, and gloves. It is reported that suspects of robbery fled the shop just before the police officials arrived.
Police remarked that no arrests have been made at this time.
