Tops List of Most Dangerous Cities in North Dakota 2024

In North Dakota, Devils Lake grapples with the highest rate of reported rape cases and the second-highest incidence of property crimes, juxtaposing its serene environment with concerning crime statistics. Watford City, fueled by the oil boom, ranks third in danger, primarily due to a surge in property crimes. Bismarck, the capital city, follows closely, ranking fourth overall, contending with high rates of both violent and property crimes. Grand Forks, celebrated for its culture and education, ranks sixth but faces the second-highest burglary rate in the state. Mandan, adjacent to Bismarck, ranks seventh, highlighting the urgency for proactive crime prevention efforts, particularly regarding its fourth-highest murder rate. Dickinson, located in the southwest struggles with significant challenges related to violent crimes, placing it eighth. Wahpeton and Jamestown share the ninth and tenth spots respectively each confronting major issues related to property crimes and reported rape cases underscoring ongoing concerns across various regions of the state.
