They wanted to give healthcare to about 200,000 poor working people. But they couldn’t decide on some important things so they missed the deadline to make it happen. Now, many people in Mississippi won’t have healthcare.
People are upset that the plan didn’t work out. The House Speaker Jason White, feels disappointed. He wanted to ask the public if they wanted Mississippi Medicaid to expand. But some Senate members and House Democrats didn’t agree.
