According to New York Post a 26-year-old parking valet, Christopher “Kio” Dizefalo, has been accused of engaging in unlawful sexual conduct with a 16-year-old minor who is the child of Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield. Dizefalo faces additional charges including contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child stealing concerning the runaway incident involving the teenager.
In this situation a teenager who identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns chose to leave their home because they were worried about their well-being. It’s important to respect their identity and the reasons behind their decision. After they were reported missing they were found safe in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District, in the company of someone named Dizefalo in a parked van.
