Kennewick Man’s Dating App Connection Leads to Arrested for Allegedly Abuse of a 12-Year-Old
A 20-year-old man from Kennewick, Washington has been taken into custody on suspicion of raping a 12-year-old girl he allegedly met on a dating app, according to the crime report of True Crime Daily. The incident occurred after the man picked her up in Idaho and brought her back to his home where she was found by authorities. The victim reportedly told police that she and the suspect had sex multiple times, and he had also been messaging some of her friends. The suspect claimed the victim told him she was 18 years old.

Police Alert Parents on Online Safety After a Teen’s Alleged Abuse
Following the arrest, local police issued an alert for parents of teens and preteens warning them about the suspect’s online behavior and urging them to be cautious about whom their children interact with online. The suspect is currently being held in Benton County Jail facing charges of rape of a child and unlawful imprisonment.
