Eviction Attempt in Oklahoma City Man Dies of Fiery Incident
In Oklahoma City, during an eviction attempt 82-year-old Anthony Goulding tragically set himself and his home ablaze, according to True Crime Daily. Deputies were serving the eviction notice to Anthony and his wife who has Parkinson’s disease. Anthony poured gasoline, lit himself on fire, and threw a gas can at a deputy before succumbing to the flames. Efforts to rescue him were hampered by the intense fire and smoke.

Eviction Attempt Recalls Past Tragedy
Sheriff Tommie Johnson III explained that serving eviction notices can be risky. He mentioned a similar incident from two years ago when deputies were attacked while serving an eviction notice leading to one deputy’s death and another’s injury. This heartbreaking event serves as a reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers face even during seemingly routine tasks like serving eviction notices.
