Maine Man Pleads Not Guilty in Fatal Liquor Store Stabbing
According to True Crime Daily, in a tragic turn of events, a 21-year-old man from Augusta, Maine, has pleaded not guilty to the killing of his co-worker at a local liquor store. The incident which occurred on December 28, 2023, left 52-year-old Angela Bragg dead inside Damon’s Beverage. The suspect, Spridal Hubiak was identified as a person of interest in the case by Maine State Police. According to reports, surveillance footage from the liquor store revealed disturbing details of the event. Hubiak, allegedly armed with a knife was seen locking the store’s front door before attacking Bragg while she was attending to the cash register. Despite Bragg’s attempts to reason with Hubiak she was fatally stabbed. Hubiak fled the scene, prompting a nationwide search.

Arkansas Police Arrest Maine Man Involved in Liquor Store Tragedy
The nationwide search for Spridal Hubiak, the suspect in a fatal liquor store stabbing in Maine concluded in Flippin, Arkansas, on December 30, 2023. Arkansas police made contact with Hubiak after finding him sleeping in his car, a black Ford Taurus with Maine license plates. A 30-mile chase ensued ending at a gas station where Hubiak allegedly exited his vehicle armed with an AR-15 rifle. In the confrontation that followed, a Boone County deputy “immediately engaged Hubiak with deadly force” injuring him. Hubiak was subsequently flown to a hospital for treatment before being extradited back to Maine to face charges related to the liquor store tragedy.
