Pasadena Prepares for Minimum Wage Changes: Fast Food Workers Set to Receive $20 per Hour from April 1
Pasadena Readies for Minimum Wage Hikes in Fast Food Sector and Citywide
Pasadena officials are gearing up for changes in the minimum wage landscape with attention turning to a new $20 hourly minimum wage for fast food workers starting April 1. This wage hike, mandated by California law takes precedence over Pasadena’s local minimum wage ordinance. The move comes in response to Governor Gavin Newsom signing Assembly Bill 1228 last September which specifically targets certain fast food restaurant workers for a minimum wage hike.
