According to New York Daily News, the IRS is telling Americans to hurry up and get their 2020 tax refunds before May 17 or they might lose out on over $1 billion. Lots of folks in New York alone are missing out on about $61 million in tax refunds. This is money that belongs to them but they need to check if they filed their taxes right.

Because of COVID-19 the IRS gave New Yorkers more time to claim their 2020 tax refunds. But now time’s almost up.
