2-EF-1 Tornado Hits Kentucky in Different Counties

According to the published news from WPSD Local, Tommy Hancock, a farmer in Hickman County, hit by the EF-1 Tornado in Kentucky described how frustrating it was to have to go through this twice since 2001. Thanks to the tornado, Hancock’s grain bin overturned. He has experience dealing with extreme weather before. Hancock stated, “I was constructing this barn here in ’01.” “This barn was destroyed by straight-line winds, and I had to rebuild it in ’01.” Hancock’s bin was reportedly among the worst damage, according to the Hickman County Emergency Management Office.

Hancock is one of several persons the agency is assisting. He exhorts those who have suffered storm damage to keep moving forward with their recovery. Hancock advised his clients to “just be very patient and have a little faith in your insurance company, your adjusters, and your agents.” Hancock declared that constructing grain bins by September or October to store grain for the harvest season is his top priority.

46 trees fell around the county, but no one was hurt or killed. There are currently a number of crucial tasks to complete, according to Justin Jackson, director of emergency management for Hickman County. Respond to crises, work toward a speedy and effective community recovery, and be available to meet the needs of Hickman County residents, added Jackson. However, as I mentioned, we are extremely lucky to have the team we do and the volunteer team that can step in and help us.
