Affordable Housing Initiative for Homeless and Low-Income Residents in Ojai Valley!

Affordable Housing Initiative Receives Vital Federal Funding in Ojai Valley

Hope on the Horizon: Camino Affordable Housing Initiative Project Brightens Ojai Valley

The affordable housing initiative project Camino is a ray of hope in the peaceful Ojai Valley. Federal money of more than million was recently provided to this housing scheme, opening the door for development. This housing initiative, which is being led by the Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation, is to alleviate the critical housing shortage that low-income and homeless people in Ventura County face. Much of the cash was obtained through Congressman Carbajal’s efforts, with additional funds coming from applications to federal programs such as the Low Income Housing Tax Credit.

The Camino affordable housing project has received support from regional initiatives and programs in addition to the federal financing. The office of Ventura County Supervisor Matt LaVere has been actively engaged, emphasizing the pressing need for solutions pertaining to affordable housing.
