Vincent Candelora want funding cuts in film and TV industries. But people in the film and TV business don’t like the idea of funding cuts. They had a big meeting where over 200 of them showed up to say they need this program. Companies like NBCUniversal and ESPN say they’ve put a lot of money into Connecticut because of these tax breaks. They worry that if the program end they might leave for places with better tax deals. Some Americans think the money should go to other things like helping families with kids. But others say cutting this program could hurt the economy.
