According to authorities, the robbing incident happened just this weekend at about 4:15 p.m. at the Nordstrom shop within the Westfield Topanga Mall. A large group of thieves robbing Topanga Mall was seen on camera inside the mall stealing items, smashing display cases, and running furiously out the door.
Police say that either bear spray or Mace pepper spray was used to attack a store security guard. Between 20 and 30 people took part in the crime before escaping in a Lexus, BMW, and Honda, according to authorities as reported. Investigators estimate that between $60,000 and $100,000 worth of goods were stolen by the group of offenders.
The LAPD posted on one of the social media platforms announcing the robbing incident at Topanga Mall with an estimated loss of $100,000. Several investigators were already in the area. They have publicly announced that they are doing at the most to their extent to bring the responsible individuals into custody with proper prosecution.
