Tragic Death of 2-Year-Old Fallon Fridley: A Heartbreaking Event in the Community

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a man and a woman have admitted guilt in connection with the tragic death of a 2 year old child back in 2020. According to the Sandy Springs Police Department, Fallon Fridley suffered fatal injuries after being brutally beaten on December 9, 2020 at a residence in the 500 block of Monterey Parkway. Kirstie Flood and Jeffrey Meyers were arrested for their involvement in the child’s death, and on March 18, 2024 both pleaded guilty to their charges.
The heart wrenching details of the guilty plea expose a series of heinous crimes. Flood confessed to multiple charges such as malice murder, felony murder, aggravated sexual battery and child cruelty receiving a life sentence without parole. Meyers admitted to second degree murder and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. The joint efforts of the Sandy Springs Police Department and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office particularly the Crimes against Children Unit, were highly commended for providing closure and comfort to the bereaved family.

The sad case has really made the neighborhood feel very upset and angry because of what happened to 2 year old Fallon Fridley. People are saying thank you to the police and lawyers for working hard to make sure the family gets justice. While everyone is sad and trying to feel better they hope that the court process helps them feel a little bit better and that they can stop bad things like this from happening again.
