The pursuit unfolded after officers responded to a report from an automatic license plate reader which flagged a vehicle reported stolen from Denver Colorado in the area of Williamson and Brawley School Road. Despite attempts to halt the suspect’s escape the driver later identified as Gerald Pendergrass 31 adamantly refused to comply initiating a high-speed chase westbound on Brawley School Road.
