The Credit for Caring Act: A Potential Financial Aid for 48 Million Family Caregivers in the U.S.
The Credit for Caring Act could greatly help many people, as about 48 million Americans take care of their family members like parents and spouses. They spend around $7,200 each year on various care-related costs. This bill proposes a tax credit, which is like a reduction in the amount of taxes they have to pay. The credit can be up to $5,000 and will change as prices increase. It will only apply if the caregiving expenses are more than $2,000. With the help of other important lawmakers, this bill has the potential to make life easier financially for millions of dedicated caregivers across the United States.
