House Approves $460 Billion Spending Package
Pittsburgh to Benefit from $28 Million Allocation
According to TRIBLIVE, the U.S. House passed a big spending package worth $460 billion to keep the government running without any interruptions. This package also includes money for different projects in the Pittsburgh area totaling over $28 million. Representatives Summer Lee and Chris Deluzio helped to make sure this money goes to around 30 community projects like fixing roads and building community spaces and $1.5M for Tree of Life.

$1.5M for Tree of Life Synagogue to Receive $1 Million
$1.5M for Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill will receive $1 million to build an educational space and memorial for the shooting victims. The 10.27 Healing Partnership gets $547,000 for trauma services. Other projects funded include fixing the Allegheny YMCA building and building affordable housing. Etna Borough will use $3 million to build a new library and community center. These bills need Senate approval and President Biden‘s signature.
