CalFresh Assistance Adjusts to Help Larger Households Affected by San Diego Floods
According to 10 News San Diego, individuals that affected by the San Diego floods will have the opportunity to seek assistance from CalFresh and a state food program that aims to support low income families in accessing nutritious meals. Those working in disaster areas impacted by the January 22 floods can apply for a one time payment to purchase food for their families by completing a CF 385 form.
Methods are available for flood victims to apply for assistance including online submission through benefitscal.com contacting Access at 866-262-9881 visiting a local Family Resource Center or attending one of the two FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers. The one time payment provided to flood victims will be based on their household size and monthly income and with larger households receiving higher allotments without any set limit.

Urgent Deadline Alert: Apply for CalFresh Assistance by March 15 to Support Your San Diego Flood-Affected Family
The application deadline for flood victims to apply for assistance is March 15. Once the applications are approved by the county, recipients will receive their CalFresh funds on an EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card providing much-needed support to families affected by the recent floods in San Diego.
