According to Hi-Line Today, the USDA is currently present in Havre as part of its Farm and Food Workers Relief program which aims to assist field and livestock workers. They are conducting surveys to determine the eligibility of individuals for one time payments of $600. According to Wynn, the Farm and Food Workers Relief Program was initiated by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) during the COVID-19 pandemic to offer financial assistance to farm workers. The program entails a one time payment of $600 and contrary to common belief and it is not limited to migrant workers. Eligibility requirements include providing proof of identification and evidence of employment and with a minimum of one hour worked during the pandemic period.
