According to the report if 2 News, The Jenks Police Department wants to get to emergencies faster. Captain Nick Chandlee explains they’re in a busy area where cars often block their driveway. This happens a lot during rush hour and when school ends. They put up new signs to remind drivers to leave space for police cars to get in and out quickly, especially in emergencies.

Captain Chandlee says it’s really important to not waste time when there’s an emergency. If their driveway is blocked by cars it slows them down. They hope people will notice the new signs and remember to keep the way clear for police cars.
