According to True Crime Daily, A decades-old case has been revisited resulting in the arrest of a father and step-mother accused of killing their 5-year-old son and concealing his body in a camper. The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that on March 3, 1989, Megan Turner, Justin Turner’s stepmom reported him missing claiming he didn’t board the school bus or attend school. After a two-day search, the boy’s father Victor Turner tragically discovered his lifeless body in a camper on their property.
According to documents from WCSC-TV, the young boy’s death was deemed a homicide with evidence suggesting strangulation using a ligature. The investigation revealed that only the Turners had access to the camper. Megan Turner’s conflicting statements about her whereabouts on that fateful morning raised suspicions. Detectives found a ligature in their home that matched the injuries leading to the arrest of the Turners on January 9, 2022, on charges of murder.
