According to American Military News, the U.S. military conducted targeted strikes on 14 Iran-backed Houthi missile sites in the Red Sea region aiming to thwart potential attacks on American and commercial vessels. The U.S. Military strikes executed late Wednesday night were carried out in response to the imminent threat posed by loaded missiles situated in Yemen-controlled territories held by the Houthi militants.
