Son Charged with Attempted Murder of Judge Father

Son’s Court Appearance for Alleged Attack on Judge Father

According to WSFA 12 report, Khalfani Hardwick who allegedly shot and stabbed his father Judge Johnny Hardwick had his first court appearance on Tuesday. The court decided there was enough evidence to charge him with attempted murder adding to the charges of domestic violence and having a gun illegally. His father was attacked at home and Khalfani was arrested soon after. Because Judge Hardwick is connected to the court finding a lawyer for Khalfani has been hard. All the judges from the circuit had to step aside, so a judge from a different circuit is handling the case. They’ve given Khalfani a lawyer from the same circuit. The District Attorney promises to treat the case seriously like any other violent crime.
