Two Man Arrested in Connection to Bank Robbery in Golden Valley
A man has been arrested in connection to a bank robbery that occurred in Golden Valley, according to the Kingman Police Department.
On Monday around 11 a.m., 53-year-old Mario William Fragassi entered the Mission Bank on Hualapai Mountain Road and Jackson Street while his accomplice, Ayala, remained outside the gray truck. Fragassi allegedly stole $1,715 from the bank, and the two fled the scene in the car.
They later parked the truck at the Napa Auto Parts store on Andy Devine Avenue, where Ayala went inside while Fragassi remained in the vehicle. Officers arrived at the scene and shot Fragassi multiple times. Fragassi was taken to the hospital, where he is still recovering as of Tuesday evening. No officers were harmed during the incident.
Ayala left the store and used a taxi to flee the area. It is unclear how Kingman police tracked him down, but he was arrested and booked into a Mohave County jail. The two suspects are both in prison with charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault charges.
