Accused of Fatal Shooting Tragic in Columbus
Mother Arrested in Connection with Son’s Death
A sad incident occurred in Columbus, Ohio, where a 44-year-old man named Jahaad Hughes was shot and killed according to True Crime Daily. It happened on Feb. 19, around 1:45 p.m. When the police arrived Hughes was found on the ground and despite being rushed to the hospital he passed away at 3:03 p.m. The police quickly arrested Hughes’ mother Laquandra Williams thinking she might be responsible for his death. It’s said that Williams tried to stab her son during an argument but others stopped her. Hughes managed to take the knife from her. Williams said something frightening to her son and went to her car. Witnesses locked her out while Hughes packed his things. Hughes was getting ready to leave Williams shot him from close by.
