Social Security beneficiaries are those who are receiving money from the federal government because they can no longer work due to their disabilities. There are rumours circling around from the different news media that there will be federal checks in 2024.
In a published article in 12NEWS, spokespersons from the Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Treasury Department, and AARP released a statement saying that Social Security recipients are not receiving 4th federal stimulus checks in 2024.

Officials Released Statements
According to an article published in VERIFY, spokesperson for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) told a news outlet that there are no stimulus payments or anything similar that are due to go out this year. Additionally, a spokesperson for the U.S. Treasury Department also said there are no new stimulus payments like that described.
Furthermore, the rumors about 4th stimulus checks for seniors are due to AI-generated news content that prodice false information. McKenzie Sadeghi, AI and foreign influence editor said that these articles about imminent stimulus checks are a staple of “content farms,” which are “supposed news sites that regurgitate dubious information and often rely on AI-generated articles with little or no human oversight.”
