Man Arrested for Stealing Semi-Truck Hauling $1.25 Million Worth of Sports Cars.
A man accused of stealing a semi-truck in Arizona that was hauling over $1 million worth of high-end sports cars has been arrested. Isaiah Walker, a 23-year-old from Lawton, Oklahoma, allegedly stole the semi from a truck stop near Willcox on February 15th after throwing the driver out of the cab.
Reports suggest that after stealing the semi, Walker drove off with 10 Chevrolet C8 Corvettes, leaving the owner of the truck and other drivers in shock. The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident and dispatched a deputy to track the stolen vehicle.
The deputy spotted the semi-truck on the road, but Walker refused to pull over. The sheriff’s office said, “The stolen vehicle began driving recklessly, which caused vehicles to leave the roadway.” The semi was eventually stopped, and Walker was taken into custody.
“Mr. Walker admitted to stealing the vehicle and advised that the Corvettes were not the reason and that he needed a truck to get home as he had just been released from prison,” the sheriff’s office said. Walker is now facing multiple charges, including theft and reckless driving.
The stolen semi-truck and the expensive sports cars were recovered and returned to their rightful owner. The incident has left many in shock, with the value of the stolen goods reaching over $1.25 million.
