In the surprising court fight, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress Brandi Glanville is accused of improper behavior during the fourth season of the spinoff.

EW studied Caroline Manzo’s lawsuits, which allege that Bravo habitually intoxicated the ensemble and “directed, encouraged, and/or allowed” sexual harassment for ratings. The complaint alleges that Manzo and Glanville departed the series early. According to insiders, Glanville kissed Manzo without her permission at a party.

According to Manzo’s attorney, Derek Smith, the case is about networks sacrificing talent for ratings and profit. Smith said the lawsuit protests reality TV celeb exploitation because “the housewives are not their pawns to abuse for ‘drama’ purposes.”

Allegations of Assault, Producer Inaction, and Ethical Scrutiny in Caroline Manzo’s Lawsuit Against Brandi Glanville

Based on Glanville’s alleged deviant sexual conduct and harassment, Manzo’s legal team claims Bravo should never have employed her. Caroline Manzo’s lawsuit criticizes Glanville’s lack of sexual harassment training.

The network reviewed the incident last year, stressing cast and staff safety. These efforts are questioned by Manzo’s complaint, which demands accountability.  The court action on Caroline Manzo’s lawsuit highlights the reality TV industry’s ethical obligations to its cast members as it is accused of exploiting talent. This case might shape reality TV.
