Economic Stimulus: Government Initiatives
Economic stimulus refers to government-led efforts to promote activity and reverse downturns. Financial resources are injected into the economy to boost spending, investment, and growth. Tax incentives, direct payments to individuals or households, and greater government spending on infrastructure or social programs are frequent stimuli.
These initiatives aim to boost consumer confidence, reduce job losses, and help businesses amid recessions and pandemics like COVID-19. The goal is to enable economic recovery, maintain financial stability, and reduce the negative effects of economic downturns on persons and businesses.
