A transgender person is accused of stabbing her mother, leaving the victim struggling for life. In the horrible deed, a beloved family dog died, compounding the agony.
A transgender fatally stabbed her mother 58 times.
36-year-old Andre Eugene was allegedly indicted for the stabbing death of Donna Hyman, 58, as well as aggravated cruelty to animals and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny, Eugene informed the retired officer that her mother had committed suicide. Eugene has been a teaching assistant at P.S. 17 for the past ten years.
“I don’t need any help. My mother is dead. She committed suicide,” Eugene told her neighbor.
However, according to Kenny, when authorities entered the flat, they found Hyman’s bloodied body with 58 stab wounds, 26 of which were to the head.

The investigation continues
A tiny tan dog with curling hair was discovered lying lifeless in the snow outside the building. It had been stabbed nine times and tossed from the eleventh-floor balcony.
Eugene had a dog bite on her thigh and several “shallow” stab wounds to her chest, Kenny said.
Eugene was taken to Brookdale Hospital and treated for her injuries.
Eugene told police the fight started after her mother’s dog bit her. Eugene said she then stabbed the dog, and then her mother stabbed Eugene back, Kenny said.
Investigators nonetheless found that Eugene’s stab wounds were “self-inflicted,” as Kenny described them.
