Former Biden business colleague Mervyn Yan was questioned on Thursday as House Republicans investigated President Joe Biden’s alleged links to his family’s shady business practices. The investigation focuses on tracking millions of dollars between Yan and family associate John ‘Rob’ Walker, with shell businesses depositing foreign monies into Biden bank accounts.
Yan’s Revelations Spark Intrigue in Biden Family Probe
Yan’s revelation under interrogation that the Biden family had no energy or infrastructure background surprised investigators regarding their energy dealings. Yan said he never had ‘professional’ contact with Joe Biden, but Democratic investigators said he never had ‘business or personal conversations’ with the President.
The inquiry into the complex financial transactions, including millions reportedly transferred between China and Romania through shell companies to Biden family members, continues. The GOP wants Walker’s testimony to clarify the issue. The probe’s end is near with Hunter Biden’s testimony. Hunter consented to his closed-door interview despite prior objections, signaling inquiry progress. The GOP filed contempt of Congress charges against him after he rejected a subpoena.
Walker’s business transactions as a Biden family surrogate complicate the probe. His partnership with Hunter on Sinohawk Holdings, a CEFC joint venture, has been questioned. Hunter received a diamond from CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming in 2017 to start their business connection.

Shell Businesses and Foreign Funds in Biden Family Accounts
The GOP claims shell businesses transferred millions from China and Romania into Biden family accounts. Walker’s Robinson Walker LLC allegedly receives foreign cash. The GOP says foreign money, including millions from Gabriel Popoviciu’s firm, went to Biden family accounts.
The GOP is also looking into a 2017 $40,000 “loan repayment” to Joe Biden as “laundered money” from CEFC, which has ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Hunter demanded $10 million from CEFC via WhatsApp in 2017.
The GOP claims bank records show the Biden family and friends got over $20 million from China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Romania while the investigation continues. The story highlights the Biden family’s intricate financial transactions and suspected foreign affiliations.
