A 75-year-old man in Florida was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated manslaughter who brutally beat an elderly man after his car accidentally hit causing minor damage in the Country Club parking lot.
Husband Admitted His Fault
Robert Edward Moore was arrested after the police identify him from a photo published in a newspaper after he hit a hole-in-one at a local golf course and was taken into custody last week. He was charged with one count of aggravated manslaughter after beating an 87-year-old man to death in the Country Club parking lot.
Police officers responded to a call from 911 about the car accident around 6:41 p.m. last June 28. A woman told that her husband later identified as Zook accidentally hit the car of Robert Edward Moore causing minor damage. The suspect approached the couple and yelled. Her husband admitted his fault and offered insurance but the suspect beat Zook and he can’t defend himself due to the continuous punch from him. When the medics arrived Zook was transported to Villages Hospital and discovered he suffered a brain bleed and was transported to another hospital but he was unresponsive by the time he arrived. Last July 15 Zook was pronounced dead.
Investigators went to the suspect’s home and claimed that he only beat Zook believing that he was trying to flee after hitting his car and said he waited for police for about 20 minutes to arrive after he attacked Zook. After his arrest, Robert Edward Moore was released after posting a $30,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear in court on September 26, 2023, according to Law & Crime.
