A 24-year-old man from Oceanside, California, has been arrested for a frightening road rage incident that resulted in a freeway shooting
After a shocking road rage incident on Interstate 5 in Oceanside, 24-year-old Brightwel Ojahngoe was arrested. A road rage incident last fall involved Ojahngoe shooting at two motorcycles. Though they missed the motorcyclists, the shots damaged one of their bikes.
After an exhaustive investigation into the freeway gunshot near Mission Avenue, the California Highway Patrol apprehended Ojahngoe on Wednesday. At approximately 9:15 p.m., the cyclists were proceeding northbound on Interstate 5, when the suspect allegedly discharged a handgun into the group. The riders miraculously evaded harm notwithstanding the terrifying ordeal.
The courageous bikers ran to safety and reported the shooting to the Highway Patrol. The California Highway Patrol worked diligently to identify and arrest Ojahngoe as the shooter. Ojahngoe’s gun was taken a day after his arrest.

Due to his actions, Ojahngoe is charged with shooting at occupied cars and carrying a loaded gun in public without a license. He is in Vista County Jail. The tragic occurrence underscores the dangers of road rage and the need for road safety.
