Last Sunday the Coon Rapids Police responded to a 911 call about a vehicle on fire in the 10400 block of Mississippi Boulevard Northwest around 4 o’clock in the morning.
Fatal Crash Involving Stolen Car
Around 4:00 a.m. Sunday, the Coon Rapids Police received a call from a concerned citizen about a fatal crash that happened in the 10400 block of Mississippi Boulevard Northwest. When the Coon Rapids Police arrived at the car crash accident they found the vehicle on fire that hit on a tree, according to a press release from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
The Coon Rapids firefighters abruptly extinguished the fire and the police officers found one adult body inside the vehicle and later on was pronounced dead on the scene. The Coon Rapids Police said that the vehicle was reported stolen but at the time of the crash it is not being pursued by law enforcement. The adult body found inside the car the identity has not been released as of now.
The Coon Rapids Police with the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the fatal crash incident. For now, they don’t have further information about who was the adult body found in the vehicle on fire.
