According to The US SUN report, Alaskan residents have a chance to get $1,312 through the state’s Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) program. Starting January 1, 2024, at 9 am, people can apply for the 2024 PFD. If you qualify and your application is in “Eligible-Not Paid” status by January 10, you’ll get the money on January 18. The PFD amount changes each year based on funds from Alaska’s oil and gas reserves, and you can apply on the PFD website.
There’s another one-time payment opportunity from the Recovery Action Fund for Tomorrow (RAFT). They’re helping struggling families and seniors by offering a $4,000 one-time payment. Families with kids under 18 and seniors aged 55 and older can qualify. To get this help, you need to live in one of the 39 Health Equity zip codes in San Diego County. The application period closed in May, and they’re choosing recipients through a lottery system.
