For more than twenty years, he has been going to a farmers market in Hudson, New York, every week to buy veggies, flowers, and fresh fish. Roker and his wife Deborah Roberts like to cook their meals up to five nights a week. They like to use fish, chicken, olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs to make their meals taste better. The TV celebrity lost a lot of weight in 2002 by having gastric bypass surgery and losing 100 pounds. He still makes living a healthy life a priority.
