Scientists have developed a nuclear device in order to prevent a possible catastrophic asteroid that may land on Earth.
Catastropic Asteroid Might Ruin Earth, Can Scientists Save the Planet?
According to the NYPost, scientists have been exploring whether they might save the Earth with a plot from a science fiction disaster which is a catastrophic asteroid.
A study was released just this month that they have investigated whether a nuke could be shot millions of miles into space from Earth to prevent a catastrophic asteroid from wrecking the planet.
Scientists from LLNL developed a modeling tool that could asses the possibility of successfully misdirecting a giant space rock. However, it remains a question whether this tool could save the planet from catastrophic asteroids.

New Tool May Save the Planet from Catastrophic Asteroids
According to Public World, a newly developed tool enables scientists to explore alternative options after NASA utilized a kinetic impactor to alter the course of the 2022 catastrophic asteroid in the Double Asteroid Redirection Test mission.
This newly developed device may impact with the asteroid resulting in two potential scenarios. Burkey from LNLL stated that the scientists would detonate the device and deflect the asteroid, keeping it away from the Earth. or the esteemed scientists could disrupt the asteroid.
