SpaceX Launch of Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C Delayed to February
SPACE reports that the Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C could be the very first private lunar lander. However, its launch was pushed back by a month instead of its initial launch schedule in January.
The Intuitive representative stated that the Intuitive Machines Nova-C will now wait an extra month and will probably launch no earlier than mid-February. The representative released in a statement that the updated window comes after unfavorable weather conditions that resulted in the delay of the launch.

New Launch Date Target of Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C
According to Techcrunch, the new launch date of Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C will be a full month after the initial schedule which was January 12-16 window, this is due to the mission profile: Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C spacecraft is aiming to land near the lunar south pole. Thus, it requires specific lighting conditions that are only present on a handful of days each month.
Moreover, Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C is also constrained by launch infrastructure availability causing the delay of the spacecraft.
