Seattle’s Forecast: One Day of Sunshine Before the Rain Makes a Dramatic Comeback!

Seattle’s Forecast: One Day of Sunshine Before the Rain Makes a Dramatic Comeback!

Seattleites were on edge this past week, bracing for what sounded like a dramatic spring storm. Forecasts warned of hail, lightning, and even a slight chance of a tornado—something almost unheard of in the Pacific Northwest. People scrambled to cover their cars, bring in their patio furniture, and keep an eye on the sky.

And then… nothing.

Instead of the stormy spectacle everyone expected, Seattle got a mostly dry, uneventful day with even a few sunbreaks. The much-hyped “big one” turned out to be more of a no-show. Some breathed a sigh of relief, while others were secretly disappointed they didn’t get to witness a full-blown thunderstorm.

But if you know Seattle’s weather, you know the surprises never stop. And the coming days? Well, they’ve got a little bit of everything.

Current Conditions & Weekend Outlook

Right now, it’s a cool 46°F (8°C) with light rain, which means it’s business as usual for spring in Seattle. If you’ve got plans today, you’ll want a jacket (and probably a hood, because who actually carries an umbrella here?).

Looking ahead:

Saturday, March 29 – A few light showers in the morning, but don’t worry—it won’t be a total washout. Clouds will break up a little, and we might even get a few glimpses of sunshine. Expect a high of 56°F (13°C) and a cooler night around 40°F (5°C).

Sunday, March 30 – Now, here’s a day to look forward to! The sun will finally make a solid appearance, and temps will climb to a comfortable 66°F (19°C). It’s the perfect excuse to grab a coffee and take a walk through Discovery Park. The evening will be mild, cooling to 45°F (7°C).

What’s Coming Next?

After that brief taste of warmth, Seattle’s weather will remind us who’s really in charge.

Monday, March 31 – Clouds roll back in, bringing afternoon showers and a chillier high of 54°F (12°C).

Tuesday, April 1 – No weather pranks here—just another cloudy day with a high of 58°F (14°C).

Wednesday, April 2 – Morning rain and drizzle return, keeping things cool with a high of 51°F (11°C).

Thursday, April 3 – A mix of clouds and sun, with temperatures hovering around 53°F (12°C).

Friday, April 4 – Finally, a reward for making it through the week—plenty of sunshine and a high near 59°F (15°C)!

Seattle’s weather is keeping us on our toes as usual. Enjoy the sunny moments when they come, because the rain is never too far behind. And if you’re still waiting for that dramatic spring storm, don’t worry—Seattle will find a way to surprise us again soon.
