Falls Township Fire Chief Brian Salt, 36, has been arrested and accused of an increased attack and allegedly sustained serious injuries to his 3 -month daughter by enduring a child’s welfare. Officials said salt deliberately allowed the baby to fall to the ground, resulting in a skull fracture.
The incident happened on March 11, when Salt was alone with her daughter after his wife went to work. According to a criminal complaint, the child was excited and inconsistent. Salt, allegedly overwhelmed by the baby’s cry, removed him from a turn and “consciously let him fall to the ground” to hit his head.
After the incident, Salt took the daughter of his grandparents’ house, claiming that he had just seen a collision on his head and was not aware of how the injury happened. The family consulted their pediatrician and later took the child to the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. In medical evaluation, a severe skull fracture, bleeding of the eyes, and the right leg are hurt.
Originally, both Salt and Kona said they did not know what the injuries were. However, during a follow-up interview on March 20, salt admitted to losing control due to the constant crying of the child and deliberately admitted her fall.
Salt was arrested and currently held to 10% of the $ 500,000 bail. Falls Township Fire Company has suspended him indefinitely. In a statement, the fire firm expressed its concern to the family and emphasized its commitment to openness and social security.
