According to the Lakeville Fire Department, responders were alerted to a fire Saturday by multiple callers at just after 2:15 p.m.
Responders arrived to find a barn that was fully involved in fire located approximately 1000 ft. off of County Street (in the area of Freetown Street).
A working fire assignment was requested and a full recall of off-duty / on-call firefighters was transmitted prior to arrival.

The Lakeville tanker and 3 mutual aid tankers hauled 50,000 gallons of water to the scene during the fire.
All crews spent more than 4 hours on scene working the fire.

Lakeville Firefighters regret to report the two family pets were lost in the fire.
