Four 2025 Ford F-150 trucks were stolen, spurring multiple police chases
Multiple police departments got involved as four 2025 Ford F-150 trucks were stolen from a Woodhaven shipping yard. This led to police chases through Wyandotte, Ecore, Lincoln Park, River Rogue, and Detroit.
According to WXYZ, the Woodhaven police was the first department to respond to the shipping yard. Then officers from surrounding areas started to find the stolen trucks.
One officer spotted a Ford F-150 Raptor traveling at a high rate of speed and tried to pull it over. Then he chased the suspect for 13 miles before he crashed in Detroit.
Another suspect was found driving 80 mph on residential roads while dangerously weaving in and out of ongoing traffic. The pursuit damaged one police inspector. Eventually, each truck was recovered but only one of the drivers is behind bars.
Luckily no one was injured. But the lives of police officers and civilians were put in danger. It’s unclear if the other suspects will go to jail. However, there is an ongoing investigation into the incident.
A Ford spokesperson shared that it is cooperating with the local police in the ongoing investigation. It can’t provide additional information at this time.
Police Chief Archie Hamilton shared that they taught the suspect a good lesson. He can tell his friends and hopefully, everyone in the Wayne County Jail learn a valuable lesson that the police aren’t going away.
