One man is dead and another injured after a multi-vehicle highway collision in Massachusetts.
According to Tim McGuirk from Massachusetts State Police Media Relations, shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, Troopers from the Foxboro Barracks responded to a 3-car crash on Interstate 95 south prior to Exit 23B resulting in serious injuries.
Preliminary information indicates that an operator suffered a medical event that caused his vehicle to go off the roadway into the median and veer back into the roadway where it struck the two other vehicles. First responders delivered medical aid to the driver and facilitated his transfer to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
One of the other operators suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The road reopened to normal traffic at approximately 7:40 p.m. following the on scene investigation by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, and Troop H Detectives.
The decedent is identified as William Martindale, 57, of Attleboro.
Massachusetts State Police offered condolences to his family and loved ones.
