A Tiverton woman who died in a fiery crash is being remembered.
According to Captain Michael Miguel, on Thursday at approximately 9:53 p.m., the Tiverton Police Department received a report of a single vehicle crash in the area of 840 Lake Road.
When Officers and Tiverton Fire Department personnel arrived, they found a grey 2014 Subaru Impreza had left the roadway, struck a tree, and engulfed in flames. The female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was trapped inside.
Officers and Firefighters were able to remove the driver from the vehicle. Tiverton Rescue transported her to St. Anne’s Hospital. where she was pronounced deceased. Little Compton Fire Department also responded to the scene.
The driver has been identified as Jennifer M. Sylvia, 52, of Tiverton.

According to those who knew Sylvia, she was the kindest person you could meet. Someone who would give you all she had and was the best mother, grandmother, and friend.
A woman who knew Jennifer for many years told Fall River Reporter that when they interacted, she was a kind and compassionate individual, and a dedicated, loving mother.
“I recall her warmth and generosity, and I hold fond memories of (those) times.”
