Along the ‘Blue Line’ bordering South Gate and Compton, California, so many people are always rushing around in a hurry to get to work or school. How tragic is was for a tiny dog to have pushed himself into the tiniest ball into the corner of the railway’s elevator. The elevator was used by the employees to facilitate rotating shifts. Still, did no one see the little red dog in the corner?
Maybe? There he was, there had been food left around him, but he was too scared to move.
Finally, someone spotted the little guy shivering in the corner as the elevator continuously went up and down from the bottom car to the second floor. It had been a Good Samaritan who called for help.
Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29 was determined to rescue him.
So many people in a hurry to get to work and nobody helped him

Scared and cold
Getting access to the elevator would be another story. Employees had a special pass to enter. Fortunately, a team member of Hall’s rescue organization was close. Mary Nakiso was just 10 minutes away.
When Nakiso arrived she was not able to enter the elevator, but managed to beg a worker to help. And as soon as she opened the dog, her rescuer scooped him up into her arms.

Yesterday, it was raining hard in the Los Angeles area, and Mary had to park blocks away, but draped a blanket over the pup to help keep him dry and at least a little bit warmer.

I rushed to meet her
Sweet little baby was safe
So many people just didn’t help him because they were in a hurry, but this sweet dog was finally able to curl up in the blanket and fall fast asleep. He was warm, and he didn’t have to go up and down in an elevator ever again.

Because he was rescued. Meet Clay.
