This could lead to a car recall
Everyone knows that Honda makes some of the best vehicles. This is the case because they’re reliable and the company offers several options. Among the options is the Honda Ridgeline, which many say is among the best trucks to buy. Despite this, the NHTSA is in the beginning stages of investigating the truck due to camera issues. This could lead to a massive car recall.
This could lead to car recalls for one of the best Honda vehicles
People who own cars have several resources for reporting issues. One of them is the NHTSA, which, according to Reuters, is opening an engineering analysis into one of the most popular Honda vehicles- the Ridgeline. In fact, this analysis will include around 129,092 units of what many call one of the best trucks to buy. This comes after the association received several reports of camera failure.
The Honda vehicles that the analysis will include are the Ridgeline models from 2017 to 2019. The problem is that the rear-view cameras in these trucks could fail due to wire harness damage in the tailgate. Apparently, it’s a result of normal use of the vehicle. Honda is aware of 14 reports of the issue in the Ridgeline, which doesn’t sound like a large volume but could signal a widespread issue.
Still, they are not at the car recall stage of the investigation for these Honda vehicles. The NHTSA needs to test the truck more to determine how widespread this issue is for owners. Of course, many people rely on their rearview cameras, so this problem could quickly lead to safety issues.
