Indiana woman covers street with donuts while stealing Krispy Kreme truck

An Indiana woman stole a Krispy Kreme truck but didn’t get a sweet escape as police officers arrested her.

Does the five-second rule apply to donuts in the street? Plenty of people had the opportunity to pick up a treat off the pavement after an Indiana woman stole a Krispy Kreme truck. Donuts flew out the back during her attempt to get away.

Indiana woman steals Krispy Kreme truck and spills donuts

Indianapolis, Indiana had a sweet crime take place. Allegedly, a woman stole a Krispy Kreme truck at a gas station in the 2000 block of South Shelby Street.

During her attempt to get away, the back doors opened and she glazed the street with delicious, fresh donuts. Of course, police officers responded to reports of a stolen truck. However, I’d like to think that the donuts provided extra inspiration.

According to WTHR, the woman stole the truck while the driver was making a delivery. One of the police officers arrived at the scene with a body camera and can be heard saying, “These bad boys look delicious.”

The driver of the truck was able to track its location with GPS. The Speedway Police Department located the truck and pulled it over in the 5900 block of Crawfordsville Road.

Officers arrested the 32-year-old woman on preliminary charges of auto theft and possession of paraphernalia. Her name is being withheld as there is an ongoing investigation into the incident.

But the paraphernalia part isn’t surprising. Of course, someone would be more inclined to target a donut truck if they were high. Krispy Kreme donuts are already irresistible to sober drivers.

Once that hot sign blinks on, cars quickly change lanes and make U-turns to get in the drive-thru line.
