Police officers tried not to crack up as they slipped in the yolks. According to Hoodline, the accident occurred around 6 AM and traffic was backed up for hours. Only one lane was reopened by 6:50 am as clean-up crews tried to work quickly for busy yolks commuting to work.
Officials urged drivers to find alternate routes and to use caution while passing through the area. The closure remained in place until about 10 am.
