Another sad dog was found early this week; he had been left tied to a pole for hours on the corner of Centinela and Wilshire in Santa Monica. He wore a halter and a green shirt. Animal advocates have expressed their outrage on social media, reporting the dog is microchipped and for the last five days, his owners have not responded.
His microchip says his name is Hercules (A066753). Many people on social media have been offering support and sharing his plight with family and friends, hoping he will be adopted when his stray hold is no longer binding. He will be available for adoption on February 11 if his owners do not claim him.
A volunteer offered the following information. (Please note this information has not been verified by the shelter)
his leash dangles loosely beside him, a reminder of how he was once left tied up, waiting for someone who never came. He is not aggressive, just heartbroken and confused.
