This comes after he pleaded no contest to two counts of DUI manslaughter and DUI with serious bodily injury stemming from a deadly car accident that happened in 2022. The sentencing occurred on February 4th.
The report says that the accident in question took place on May 10th, 2022, after the man accused of driving under the influence went to a bar around 5 p.m. Notably, this was seen on surveillance footage, and he left the establishment about three hours later. At the time, he is said to have had a “glass alcoholic beverage.” He then began driving while under the influence and reached 130 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone. Sadly, this is when he crashed into the rear of a Buick Enclave. His car then rolled away, hit a fence, and caught fire. The victims’ car then hit a utility pole.

There was also a 9-year-old girl present in the vehicle, and she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The two adult women were her grandmother and great-grandmother. It should be noted that he was facing life, but the family of the victims approved a plea deal with a lighter sentence.
